The Girl in the Box

Motion Graphics

I intend to create an artistic TV/Movie title sequence advertising the novel created by Robert J. Crane - The Girl in the Box. The title shall leave the viewer with more questions than answers, to symbolise the confusion and little knowledge the main character knows throughout the novel. The audience will be centered around those who enjoy crime, mystery, sci-fi novels and shows - which the opening sequence will display by not displaying any obvious foreshadowing. The novel was based to be read by teens and up - so can be enjoyed by both teenagers and young adults mainly. The lack of clarity in the sequence will leave the viewer wanting to know more as to why certain scenes were shown - what do they mean? The sequence should portray a sense of mystery - shown through the minimal amount of assets and colour being used. The sequence will be led throughout by a bird asset - leading the viewer through specific key scenes from the novel - which don't obviously explain what they mean. At the end, I want the viewer to feel intrigued and curious as to what all of these illustrations mean - which would lead them to want to view the show/film.
